Join me in the garden as we enjoy an afternoon getting to know all of the amazing and unique characteristics of Calendula "Calendula officinalis".  A cheery and potent flower to keep in the garden or tucked into your landscaping.
 
Come with all of your questions as we explore: how to grow, care for, harvest, dry and prepare Calendula for the many uses this magical plant has to offer us.  From culinary, medicinal to  body care as we focus on creating our own calendula infused oil to make a salve thats great for many ailments.  From dry skin, rashes, tired and sore muscles, to face moisturizing.
 
My hope is that we can demistify how simple it is to use a few simple ingredients to make your own body butter, salve, lotion bar or face cream with just a few adjustments to the ingredients.  
 
We will explore a few options for using these common base ingredients:
Calendula infused Sweet Almond oil
Calendula infused Apricot oil
Tallow
Shea butter
Cocoa Butter
Beeswax
Essential oil options: Lavender, cedarwood, sweet orange, grapefruit, Palo Santo, Bergamot, Rose
 
You will leave with your own salve, Calendula seeds, a better connection to this special plant and the confidence to make your own.
