Start seed indoors in trays 4 to 6 weeks before last frost; transplant out after all danger of frost has passed. I prefer to direct sow in spring as the temps warm. Scattering them loosely around the edges of my perennial beds. As cress gets established it tends to self seed and come back where you need it. I commonly leave it to be harvested from pathways.
